Dwight L. Byrd OH-23G Crew Chief May 1965 to Mar 1967.
Janis Cooper: Dwight’s wife (Jane) contacted me this afternoon saying Dwight passed away this morning (11 Jun 2026). He had been in the hospital for 15 days. Another precious Soldier made it Home today. He was welcomed Home by lots of strong Soldier’s voices and beautiful smiles.
I’m so grateful God let our paths cross here on earth and look forward to seeing him in heaven. He and Jane have been such sweet Friends to Harlan and Me.
