Charles Guy Jr. died 16 November 1994 at the age of 65. He served in the Korean War and was a Maintenance Supervisor for the Centaurs in 1966-67. His Purple Heart came from being hit by a mortar round in the Cu Chi Basecamp.

Some time after Guy had recovered from the mortar attack in which he was wounded he was telling some of us what he remembered. He was quartered in one of those round 4 of 5 man tents and Guy was no stranger to alcohol. According to him, he was standing sideways to the blast, which saved his life, but he told us "hell, I thought my damn Martini exploded".--end of story. I have been trying to track down Guy through Internet searches but still no luck.
