Introduction to the Centaur Roster

………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Note that our organization, CIVO, strongly enforces our rules of membership.

Even those with forged DD214's have been found out and dealt with. We have no patience with Honor Thieves.

There are two main rosters: "Centaur" and "Friends"

........................................................................................................................................

Centaur Roster

All known Centaurs are listed in the roster presented with the "Centaur" button above. Whether they have been located, not located, killed in action, or deceased, the name of every Centaur that we know of is listed. The status of each man is listed in the "Status" column of the roster. If you are in contact with a former Centaur and his name is not on this roster, or is incomplete, please have him contact Bruce Powell so that that man's information can be added to our "Centaur" roster.

We have relatively reliable addresses, some telephone numbers, and some email addresses for the Centaurs who's status is listed as "Located" on the roster. If you would like to contact one of these men, contact the Webmaster Bruce Powell, email powellcentaur@gmail.com.

The men who's status is listed as "Not Located" on the roster are confirmed to have been assigned to either Troop D (Air) or Troop F (Air) during the period March 1966 to February 1973. The names were found in general/special/unit orders, unit rosters, unit books, photographs, found using their SSN, or provided by other Centaurs who knew them.

The list is by no means complete. If you have any information that could help us with these rosters, please contact the Webmaster. The roster also includes the names of men who had been in contact with the Centaurs at one time, but somehow have lost contact.

All Centaurs are listed on a singe roster to make it easy for viewers to find their man. The KIA (Killed In Action) and Deceased since the war, are honored with their own lists in the "In Memoriam" section of this website. This is a duplicate entry of their names with the ones on the Main "Centaur" roster.

Friends Roster

This is not a Guestbook. We may consider that later. This is to be a list of those non-Centaur people who have contributed to the Centaur Legacy. This roster is available by clicking on the "Friends" button at the top of the "Rosters" page. There will be text, photos and video attached to some of those names as it is related to our unit legacy.

If you served in a different unit and had experiences with the Centaurs, we would love to hear from you and welcome you to our "Friends" roster.

Relatives and friends of Centaurs have also provided us with stories, photos and information that we can use for our legacy mission. We would like to list all of your names and request your permission to do so. We are fortunate to already have some great input from our fellow troopers in the 3/4 Cav Squadron.
