I served with F Troop in mid 71 and we were at Lai Khe when I joined them from B/229th AHC.
One of my hootch mates, Harlan Sparrow (also went through basic and flight school with him) was in the scouts and then became the maintenance officer.
I was a slick driver and my call sign was Centaur 28. Went home on emergency leave in Dec of that year and when I returned the Troop had moved to Sanford AAF.
Left country in March of 72. I joined the PAARNG and stayed in the reserves until March of 2003.
Was there for a few shoot downs and extractions doing the Purple Team thing in Cambodia and Bo Loi area.
Retired from the helicopter industry in 2016 and currently living in Coupeville, Washington.
