Comments from fellow Centaurs and friend:

Larry Richardson: Terry and John “Willi” Williams were my two best friends at Hunter Army Airfield. Most of my memories of Terry are from my days at Hunter AA during my 16 months there from April ‘68-Jul 69. Terry drove a clean yellow 2-door Fairlane. We spent a lot of time at the beach. He, Willi Williams and I were mechanics with the same rank. Terry was a really nice guy. He took some pics of me at Cu Chi and posted them on his website that I used to verify my presence over there when applying for disability. Those 2 or 3 pics plus one from Woody Gardner are all I have to show for that year. I can’t remember them in Nam but they remembered me. Sure hate to think that I won’t be seeing them at anymore reunions.

Mike Vaughn: Terry was a good friend, in Nam and when we returned home. After Gerald Crawford, him and John “Willi” Williams were the first D Troopers I made contact with. Because we had the same last name, the mail clerk would get our mail mixed up. I suspected some of my Care Pages may have lost weight before I received them. Not blaming anyone, but I never trust that smile Terry had on his face when he return my Care Packages.

He used to tell people we were twin brothers. At the reunions we shared many War Stories, a few may have even been true. He will be missed by so many when he’s gone. He and his family will be in my prayers.

Mike Siegel: Terry was my crew chief when I was Peter pilot for Joe Bridges in late ‘67, and regularly attended our reunions. Good man.

Tom Fleming: Terry was a great crew chief. He and I shared many hours together on the flight line and in the air while in D Troop. In the Last few years at 3/4 Cav Reunions we had good laughs together about events together. In particular about the time his M-16 fell out of our helicopter as it lifted off as the last slick out of a hot LZ in the Ho Bo, carrying a couple of dead AF B-57 pilots and 7th AF Sgts. I didn't turn around and go back and look for it. He didn't want me too either, but was concerned about the ramifications of losing it. He didn't have to pay for it in cash, just sweat.
My thoughts and prayers are now for Terry and his loved ones.

Bruce Powell: Terry was one of the original Centaur Society Members and contributed greatly to the success of our legacy website. We had many talks over the last few years. The stories, photos and video's that he contributed tell clearly of his experiences as a young helicopter mechanic and UH-1 crew chief during the war. These memories will carry on for future generations. God Bless his kind soul.

Pat Eastes: Sorry to hear of Terry’s passing. Barely knew him in VN since he was a slick CE, but enjoyed talking to him at some reunions. RIP
