Phillip Douglas Tunstall, 75, passed away due to complications from Parkinson’s, Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019 in his home. Phillip was born to Cyril and Gertrude Tunstall on March 11, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois.
He met his wife Gloria Zellmer in Markham, Illinois in 1964, and married on December 9, 1967.
Phil will forever be missed by his loving wife, Gloria, their child, Sheryll Tunstall Bauman, (Edward) of Salinas, and the joys of his life, his grandchildren Laura (20), and Nicolas (16) Bauman. Phil will also be missed by his 3 brothers, Kenneth (Patricia) Tunstall of Salinas, Gregory (Elaine) Tunstall of Knox, Indiana, Robert Tunstall, of Visalia, California, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment was held 12:30PM Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA 95322 with military honors.
A Celebration of Life was held 11:00AM Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.
