He was a good pilot and a fine Warrant Officer. I served with Mark in D Trp, 3/4 Cav, 25th Inf Div and flew with him on many occasions. He was my mentor for much of my time when I was new in country, and I particularly remember my first night mission where we were involved in a major firefight and Mark was my AC (aircraft commander). I remember his shootdown and death all too well. He is still missed by me and those who served with him.

When I was a new pilot in the unit, Mark taught me what I would need to stay alive when piloting a gunship in the dangerous environment of RVN. I flew with him and learned much Mark, I think of you often and wish that things would have gone much differently on 27 Dec. Thank you for your courage and competency you are not forgotten.

Well, my friend - it has been a long time since we were young and foolish Freshman at Paul Smith's. I really wish that I had been able to bring you home. Your loss left a void that has never been filled. Who knows were we would have been now, but I like to think that we could have gone on to better things. God Bless You, your folks and family. I do miss you.

I still think of you Mark.
Mark and I were really god buddies, graduating from Catskill High School , Catskill, NY in June of '59. We must have been the two shortest guys in the class, so we hung out together, and became the best of friends. Still missed and always in my memories.
