ObituaryJames "Jim" G. Matney, age 63, of Ferndale, WA, passed away in Seattle on January 11, 2010. He was born Feb. 16, 1946, in Greensboro, NC, to Andrew and Florence Matney. Jim worked for Georgia Pacific in Bellingham for 25 years. He was very handy and could fix just about anything and went out of his way to help where he could. Jim was proud of his two years in culinary school. His interests included NASCAR, camping, and fishing. Surviving Jim are his wife, Diane; sons, Aubrey Matney and Andrew Matney; step-children, Sherri (Alex Moore) Larrabee and Carla (Dwayne) Fields; 5 grandchildren; brother, Jennings (Georgia) Matney, and Ed (Garnet) Matney; and sisters, Evelyn (Bill) Holliday and Ann (Howard) Fagan. Visitation for Jim will be from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, Thursday, January 14, and Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2010, both at Moles Funeral Home, 2039 Main Street, Ferndale.
Jim was a 67N20 Crew Chief from March 1966 to March 1967. We do not have any other info or Nam Photos of him.
