John R. Collins, 70, of Carmel, passed away on January 22, 2017. He was born in Indianapolis on July 28, 1946 to the late Curtis J. and Helen Dickson Collins.

Survivors include his daughters, Sarah (David), Katie and Laura; grandchildren, Easton, Jamison, Abbott, Audrey, Berkley, Alexandra and Adelyn; brother, Jim; and Debbie, former wife and friend.

Family and friends gathered on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Carmel VFW, 12863 Old Meridian Street, where the funeral service was held on Friday, January 27. Burial will followed in Carmel Cemetery.
