Sheila R. Bowman(Mike's Daughter) 27Jan2015 to Centaur Moderator:

Hello Bruce,
I needed to let you know that my father, Edwin Michael Bowman, passed away on Sunday. Your site did give him so much joy and helped him talk about Vietnam before he passed. Thank you for the support.

To Sheila R. Bowman, bcc Centaur Society
Daughter of Mike Bowman

Sheila,
We are so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Brian "Stretch" Harrison was working with Mike to get all his Vietnam photos scanned so we could put them up on his page on the web. Maybe at some point in the future one of the family members or friends will help Stretch to complete that task and better honor Mike on his page.

We think that Mike was the youngest Centaur to serve in combat and assumed that he would outlive us all.

I have copied this note to all the Centaurs in our Society so that they might know about Mike and strive to help us build a better page to honor him on our Legacy Website.

My personal thanks to you for taking the time to let us know about Mike and particularly for telling us that he had enjoyed sharing the website with us all. We don't often get or expect this level of support and encouragement from family members. It is greatly appreciated and helps us to keep moving forward with this great website project.

May God bless Mike's warrior's soul.
